Meet Mac
Mac is a German Shepherd Dog from the Czech Republic. He was trained as a detection dog at the Falco K-9 Academy in Brea, California, and has successfully tested annually as a Mold Detection Dog since 2005.
Protimeter—This tool measures moisture content in materials. It can scan the surface, probe below the surface and utilize deep wall probes and hardwood probes for a more comprehensive reading. An excellent tool for finding the causes of mold contamination.
Laser Particle Counter—This measures particles in the air that are the same size as mold spores. It also measures ambient temperature and relative humidity; excellent information for helping to determine what is in the environment is providing the mold with the atmosphere it needs to thrive.
Video Borescope—We can see deep inside walls and take still photos or live videos of the molds we find. It requires a small hole 1/2” in diameter for access into the interior of the wall.
Air Pump w/Impactor—Places mold spore directly onto a Petri dish for the lab to culture and evaluate. Great for testing the air in affected rooms and inside of walls.
Traditional tools often can't pinpoint exactly where mold is thriving inside a building without driving costs sky high. Mac can tell us that exactly where mold is lurking when all our man-made tools can only tell us that it's in there somewhere. A mold dog inspection can reduce the area of remediation to its smallest possible dimensions and lowest possible cost. Mac and our state-of-the-art toolbox give us the confirmation and analysis needed to effect a complete remediation.
