Our Team

Meet Mac, a German Sheperd Dog from the Czech Republic. He was trained in Germany and selected by Andy Jimenez, a police officer and K9 trainer. Mac meets the same AFT standards as narcotics and explosive detection dogs. At Falco K9 Academy, Mac was trained to detect mold.
Mold dogs are chosen for their high energy and intelligence. Mac had to successfully complete over 1000 hours of detection, obedience and interaction training. The core of the program is the training that teaches the dogs to identify and locate over 18 groups of mold, including the most common, and potentially harmful, ones found in indoor environments. It has been scientifically documented that a canine's scenting capability can extend to odors as small as 500 parts per trillion. K9 detection dogs are legally recognized as detection instruments by courts of law.
